he’ll do whatever needs to be done:
He’ll validate your life in the clear light of day
and stamp you with approval at high noon.”
things i’m learning
God is teaching me so much lately about faith and believing Him. I’m learning to really, truly, deeply, and wholly love Him and what that means. I’m trusting in His promise and leaning on His Words and filled with His glory. His love is better than life!
He makes her wilderness like Eden
“For the Lord comforts Zion; he comforts all her waste places and makes her wilderness like Eden, her desert like the garden of the Lord; joy and gladness will be found in her, thanksgiving and the voice of song.” - Isaiah 51:3
The Lord makes the wilderness like Eden, He makes streams in the desert. He takes the hard things and gives us joy in the midst of them, and He comforts us and makes our waste places — our hurts, failures, scars, emptiness, and brokenness — like Eden. He takes that which is dead and dirty and makes it clean, into something that produces fruit and becomes beauty. The Lord forgives us of our sins through redemption by the blood of Jesus and He takes our past and makes it our message. He takes our broken hearts and stories and makes them into things we can share to bless and spread the good news. He makes our dead bones alive and refreshes our spirits. The Lord takes the deserts of our lives and makes them into something fruitful, something beautiful, something whole. He takes what is dry and hard and shameful and redeems us. He makes us like Joseph, bringing good out of bad. And he gives us joy.
He is so good!
So many dreams are coming to fruition and so many promises are beginning to unfold. God is so good! I am constantly overwhelmed with His goodness and amazed with how He works. I am blessed to be His daughter + so excited that He calls me His own. Lord, I will praise you and shout your name from the rooftops! You are forever faithful!
pour out your spirit.
For I will pour water on the thirsty land,
and streams on the dry ground;
I will pour out my Spirit on your offspring,
and my blessing on your descendants. Isaiah 44:3-4
He gives life to those who have none, breath to those who cannot breathe, water to those dying of thirst. He makes dry land fertile and quenches our desire for Him. And in turn, He not only satisfies, but He also intensifies our longing and need. So while He fulfills all that our spirit longs for, He also gives us more of Him and lets our hunger grow.
He has poured His spirit on us and His blessings abound in those who love Him. Praise Him for who He is and what He’s done!
